My Story
Muteba Desacre Mukendi is a second-generation American who spent most of his formative life growing up in both the US and different countries in Africa. His travels, which include time spent in Liberia, Senegal, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Guinea Bissau, have given him insights into leadership and its intersection with culture and strategy. He’s lived and worked abroad in Switzerland and has done a few stints in Brazil, further expanding his broad perspective on organizational cultures, values, and group dynamics. He continued to grow his interest in leadership by completing his doctorate in Strategic Leadership.
His scholarly and curricular focus on global leadership and ethics has equipped him with the prerequisite know-how as a leadership consultant. He also holds a Master’s in Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Economics.
My Book
Leadership for such a Time as This takes a practical and narrational approach to introduce the Global Inclusive Leadership Framework, which addresses real-world solutions to the leadership challenge of this day and age. The framework explores how leaders require three components to excel in this ever-connected world: intersectionality, morality, and accountability. It's the first book of its kind to offer a practical framework that leaders in all global sectors can leverage to promote inclusive behavior in their organizations and beyond.
